Traverse City Central senior offensive lineman Carson Briggs signed his National Letter of Intent with Western Michigan on Wednesday.
A multi-sport athlete, Briggs announced his commitment to WMU in March.
At 6-foot-6, 290 pounds, Briggs is a former Associated Press all-stater, MHSFCA All-Region honoree and all-Big North Conference member.
“Signing was kind of just like a relief, like it’s just kind of over, like all the hard work you’ve put in and like everything you’ve done. Extra hours from practice just pays off,” Briggs said. “It’s just a great feeling and it just feels really, really good. I just have always wanted to play football ever since I was a little kid, so just the opportunity to play more football, I’m super excited about it and can’t wait.”
Another big add to the OL! Welcome to WMU!
