Hunter Leads Gaylord St. Mary Past Pellston

PELLSTON – The Gaylord St. Mary girls basketball team moved to 2-0 in Ski Valley Conference play with a 59-19 road win over Pellston on Monday.

The Snowbirds (2-1) led 13-1 after the opening quarter and held a comfortable 26-6 lead at the break.

Alex Hunter led St. Mary with a game-high 22 points.

Pellston (1-2, 1-1) returns to the court Wednesday, hosting Johannesburg-Lewiston, while St. Mary visits Central Lake.
