LIFT in Suttons Bay: Ran by Women, Built to Support Future Generations

LIFT in Suttons Bay has spent countless hours finding all of the ways they can support the Benzie County community.

Bekah TenBrink, executive director of the organization, says this organization was built purely out of hard work and inspiration. She along with four other women make up LIFT.

Ten years ago TenBrink started a teen support group from her home and now she’s proud to have grown it into a a place where kids can express themselves.

LIFT has programs specifically designed for kids to hang out, do activities, and challenge themselves to be better people. This summer they even welcomed women interns to learn the ropes of their business and help spread their mission.

TenBrink says this empowered group of women is what fuels LIFT.

They’re always looking for volunteers and mentors seeking to help get in on some of the fun.
