Northwest Michigan Health Services Opens New Healthcare Clinic in Manistee

A local health clinic that was offering care in Ludington, has now moved north to Manistee.

Northwest Michigan Health Services recently opened a clinic in Manistee, after shutting down their clinic in Ludington.

They made the move to meet the needs of an underserved area. The new Manistee location offers primary care services, but they hope to offer behavioral health services soon. The clinic says they can offer affordable and reliable care for the more rural areas in Michigan.

“We take private commercial insurance as well as Medicaid and Medicare,” nurse practitioner, Faith Kelley said. “We also take patients who don’t have any insurance. So, we really try to provide access to care for all the people in our community, whether you’re under insured, insured or not insured.”

The Manistee clinic is open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is accepting new patients.

Northwest Michigan Health Services has other clinics in Benzonia, Shelby and Traverse City.
