The Huron Undercover Narcotics Team has arrested two people they say manufactured marijuana with the goal of distributing the product or proceeds to a federally classified hate group.

Tiffany Danielle Williams, 34, of Alpena, formerly of Tennessee and John Michael Clayton, 33, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, were arrested by HUNT  on Monday, Dec. 13, following an investigation into the illegal production of marijuana.

According to law enforcement, it is alleged that Williams and Clayton are associated with a federally classified hate group known as Brotherhood Forever, a group closely associated with the Aryan Nation. A preliminary investigation indicates that mature marijuana product and/or the proceeds of its sale were to be sent to Tennessee in support of the Brotherhood Forever.

Williams was arraigned Thursday in an Alpena County court and is being held in the Alpena County Jail on charges of manufacture marijuana and felony firearms. Her bond was set at $100,000, 10% cash surety. Her next scheduled court appearance is on Jan. 4, 2022.

Clayton was arraigned Thursday in an Alpena County court and is being held in the Alpena County Jail on a charge of Aiding and Abetting (Manufacture Marijuana). His bond was set at $100,000, 10% cash/surety. Clayton’s next scheduled court appearance is on Jan. 4, 2022.

The case remains under investigation, and more charges could follow.
