Judy Boyer went before a judge on Friday to hear the charges set against her.

She’s charged with eight counts including homicide murder in the first degree—premeditated, homicide murder in the second degree, multiple felony weapons charges and fourth offense habitual offender.

Boyer is accused of shooting and killing four people.

The Clare County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to a residence on South Harrison Avenue in Grant Township for a shooting that had taken place.  The investigation initially revealed two males had been shot in the head by a small caliber firearm.  One male, identified as Zachary Alan Salminen, was pronounced dead on scene, Wade Harlan Bacon was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Two additional bodies were located in an outbuilding.  Both of those individuals had been shot as well and were pronounced dead on scene.  They were later identified as Boyer’s father Henry Lee Boyer and sister Patricia Ann Boyer.

All four were killed by gunshot.

Bond for Boyer was established at $1 million cash/surety only.  The arraignment could not be concluded as Boyer experienced a medical issue during the proceeding.

Boyer’s nephew Ryan Beatty was also charged with accessory after the fact, felony possession of a firearm, and habitual offender, fourth notice.

His bond is set at $30,000 cash/surety.
