MIOSHA Updated Emergency Rules To Align With Federal OSHA

The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration filed Covid-19 rules to align with Federal OSHA’s Emergency Temporary Standards on Tuesday.

For non-health care settings, employers are allowed to use their best judgment in determining whether to maintain:

  • Daily health screenings;
  • Face covering requirements; and,
  • Social distancing requirements.

MIOSHA said they strongly encourage workplaces to follow the available CDC and OSHA recommendations to mitigate hazards.

The new rules are set to expire in late December.
