Ohio Man Charged With Fleeing and Eluding in Crawford County

A 33-year-old Ohio man was arrested on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle in Crawford County.

Crawford County deputies responded to a stolen vehicle complaint Monday afternoon following a report of a stolen vehicle from a Grayling business.

A good Samaritan followed the suspect and called 911. Deputies caught up with the suspect in the stolen vehicle and attempted to stop the suspect.  A pursuit ensued and officers pursed the suspect for several miles before the suspect got the stolen vehicle stuck on a rural two track road.  The suspect fled the vehicle on foot and was apprehended a short time later by officer.

Michael James Fisher has several outstanding felony warrants along with a parole absconder status.  No one was injured during this incident.

Fisher was charged with four counts of fleeing and eluding fourth degree, motor vehicle unlawful driving away, possession of ammunition by a felon and operating on a suspended/revoked license.
