Meet Caroline Klapp! She joined Northern Michigan’s News Leader as a web producer in January of 2017.
In December of 2018, Caroline was thrilled to take on a new role as the weekend reporter. On the weekends Caroline works as a multi-media journalist. Her favorite part of reporting is getting to meet different people in the community and tell their stories!
She is a native Texan, but grew up vacationing in Northern Michigan. Throughout summers in college Caroline worked at Camp Daggett in Petoskey. Northern Michigan has always held a special place in her heart and she is proud to call it home.
She graduated from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas with a degree in Journalism. While at TCU, Caroline interned for Ryan Seacrest Studios, a nonprofit media company in the Dallas Children’s Hospital. There she produced and anchored her own show weekly to entertain and educate the children in the hospital. She also contributed content and anchored for her student media organization, TCU News Now.
When she’s not reporting or web producing, Caroline loves to run, practice yoga and bake! Caroline has participated in the Charlevoix Half Marathon for four consecutive years and counting.
If there is something happening on the weekend you’d like Caroline to report on, or just want to say hi, please send her an email or message her on Facebook.
