Good morning! I’ve been saying that to local business owners and our Michigan This Morning guests around the region since 2010 as a photojournalist with On The Road.
I grew up in McBain, and still live there today, so I enjoy working in an area that’s familiar to me. I’m a Ferris State University graduate of the Television and Digital Media Production program. My career with 9&10 News began as an intern in June of 2002.
For nearly eight years I worked the daily news scene covering the hard news and happenings of the day, traveling where ever the stories were that needed to be told. Now, I wake up super early to be live on location showing you all the fun happenings around northern Michigan. From area festivals, to new restaurants and businesses, we take you behind the scenes for a look into the lives of those working hard and having fun all over our beautiful state.
In our spare time, my husband Corey and I enjoy camping, morel mushroom hunting and seeing our amazing friends in fun places like Beaver Island, Paradise, Sugar Island and Sault Ste Marie. We are both involved with the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point so the UP is like our second home! Friends we’ve met on our journeys across the state are now like family.
In June of 2021, I was honored to win my first Emmy award for our coverage of the Stand Up For Great Lakes team paddling the Chain of Lakes. We work hard even outside of work to tell great stories and produce documentaries for a great cause.
If you want to share a cup of coffee at 5:30a.m. just email me your great story idea and maybe we’ll see you On The Road.
