MTM On The Road: Patriotic Quilters of Gaylord

9&10 Logo

Today we honor veterans for their service to our country. The Patriotic Quilters of Gaylord makes sure to honor Otsego County Veterans all year round by making quilts to donate to veterans.

It’s a group for nearly 10 women that get together monthly at Delphine’s Quilt Shop to make quilts to wrap around heroes of Otsego County.

The quilters have been crafting quilts in the organization for 6 years and so far have donated 135 quilts.

After they are done making a quilt, they present them at a presentation ceremony at the Gaylord Regional Airport at Veterans Coffee and Conversation every first Wednesday of the month.

Join Regan Blissett and photojournalist Stephanie Adkins as they see how the quilts come together. They then head to the Gaylord Regional Airport to watch the presentation ceremony!

If you’re a veteran and would like a quilt made for you, contact Judy Stone at Jsq0605@gmail.com.
