Munson Home Workout Series: Full Body

9&10 Logo

Hitting the gym to work your whole body is great—but not the only way to go.

Exercise Specialist Ben Watson, from Munson’s Healthy Weight Center, has a few exercises for beginners that can help them work their whole body from home. This is part two, following the Munson Home workout .

For these exercises, all is needed is a sturdy surface that’s about knee-high, like a bed or a couch, to work the whole body.

Watson’s first exercise is a modified burpee—effective, but not too strenuous for beginners. He says the main thing is it is a cardio exercise designed to get the heart rate up.

Jumps can be thrown in for those at a more advanced level.

His second exercise is a modified “mountain climber” using a knee-high surface instead of the floor.

Check out how these exercises are done in the video.

Update: for more beginner exercises that create a full body workout together, check out from part three of the Munson home workout series.
