TRAVERSE CITY — The women of Impact100 Traverse City announced Wednesday evening at the City Opera House that they will continue to fund the regional nonprofit community and award $345,000 in grants this year. Three nonprofits will each receive $115,000 in transformational funding after Impact100 TC selects the recipients by membership vote at their Annual Meeting in September.
The Traverse City Impact100 chapter has regularly maintained more than three hundred members, and has funded 22 meaningful nonprofit initiatives, totaling over $2.4 million in 8 years.
The more women join, the larger the grant pool and several grants available to local nonprofits. A hopeful goal for Impact100 TC is to reach 500 members; achieving this milestone would empower the organization to award a grant in each of its five focus areas annually.

“The women in our community keep showing up for our local nonprofits to address critical needs in our region. Our grants are intentionally large in order to breathe life into transformational initiatives that will be sustainable for years to come. We ignite dreams and fuel change. Impact100 TC has become a necessary and trusted funding force for good,” Impact100 TC President, Lindsay Raymond, said. “We’re excited to review this year’s grant proposals, and bring our total award in this five-county region to over $2.8 million in just 9 years.”
Nonprofits from the five-county region may submit funding requests across the five focus areas of Arts & Culture, Education, Environment & Recreation, Family, and Health & Wellness beginning April 24 at www.impacttc.org/grants.
The application deadline is May 23. Last year, members voted to give grants of $116,000 each to Northwestern Michigan College Foundation, bringing 3D printed homes to NMC and the community; Thompsonville Area Revitalization Project, helming the Thompsonville Junction Trailhead Project; and Friendship Community Center, hosting Leelanau Investing for Teens (LIFT).
