Interlochen Public Library is Gifted Handmade Quilt

Rumple Quilts Kin Guild, a quilting club located in Interlochen, dedicated their appreciation to the Interlochen Public Library on Monday.

The club spends much of their time fashioning quilts for hospitals and others in need in the area. The group meets once a month at the Interlochen Public Library, so they decided to create a quilt as a thank you to the library for allowing them to use the space.

The quilt took six months and the hands of 30 members to complete.  It features items that represent the library and the surrounding area.

“A lot of hands and love and effort went into it and it really turned out beautiful,” said Anna Czarnecki, a member of the Rumple Quilts Kin Guild. “We’re hoping that the community will enjoy it and love it and appreciate it. And we’re hoping that it’ll hang in a place of honor here in the library.”
