Harrison Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash in Hayes Township

A Harrison man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Hayes Township Thursday evening.

Deputies from the Clare County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash around 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Deputies say the driver was ejected from the vehicle in the area of Townline and Ridge Roads. The vehicle later caught fire.

The driver, 18-year-old Adam Herron, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The sheriff’s office says speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
