The Dixie wildfire in California has now exploded into the 8th largest fire in state history.
Thick clouds of black smoke are hanging over the fire.
The fire tore through the small town of Greenville on Wednesday night.
Their downtown was completely wiped out by the wildfire. Cars were burned through and buildings were completely destroyed.
The fire has been burning for nearly three weeks and thousands are under evacuation orders.
As of Wednesday, Dixie is responsible for destroying more than 274,000 acres in Butte and Lumas counties.
