Central Michigan Junior Guard Crystal Bradford became the first women's basketball player in program history to be named the Mid-American Conference's Player of the Year for the 2013-2014 season.  Bradford set a MAC record by winning the conference's "Player of the Week" award eight times this season.

Bradford leads the MAC in rebounding (12.2 rebs/gm), ranks fourth in the league in scoring (20.3 pts/gm), fourth in assists (4.6 assts/gm), second in steals (2.7 stl/gm) and third in blocks (1.3 blks/gm).  She also became the first player in conference history to record multiple triple-doubles in a season.

On Monday, Bradford was selected as the conference's Defensive Player of the Year, making her only the third player in league history to earn the Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year awards in the same season.

Bradford and her Chippewa teammates will look to earn a return trip to the NCAA Tournament when they open up MAC Tournament play with a semifinal game on Friday in Cleveland.
