Man Dies In Crawford County Camper Trailer Fire

Posted: Updated:

Early Tuesday morning, Crawford County deputies came across a camper trailer that was fully engulfed in flames in Beaver Creek Township.

Police say a 21-year-old Beaver Creek man died inside the trailer.

Calvin Jones' father said he and his girlfriend heard a knock on the door of their house early Tuesday morning.

They could see the flames from the camper trailer, and were concerned because they knew Calvin was inside.

Police and fire officials say wires which ran from the trailer to the garage were likely the cause of the fire.

His father described it as a freak accident.

The trailer now sits just yards away from the home, completely destroyed.

Coming up on 9&10 News at 11:00, we'll hear more from Calvin's dad about the shocking scene he woke up to Tuesday morning.
