Police Have Found Two Missing People From Camp CoBeAc

Police say they have located the two missing people from Camp CoBeAc in Roscommon County.

Ashley Carpenter and Michael Trute were found alive and well in Clare County.

Police say they were able to locate them from a tip they received from someone who saw the story on the news.


Police are searching the area surrounding Camp CoBeAc for two people that have been missing since Thursday night. The two people, 19-year-old Ashley Carpenter and 20-year-old Michael Trute were last seen around 9:30 p.m. in the Camp CoBeAc area of Prudenville in Roscommon County.

Police say the two people have no means of transportation or money and do not have any local contacts.

Carpenter is a white female, about 5'2" and 140 pounds. She was was last seen wearing a black skirt, purple jacket, pink socks and black shoes.

Trute is a white man, approximately 6'1" and 165 pounds from the Grand Rapids area. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and jeans.

The Roscommon County Sheriffs Office is searching the area around Camp CoBeAc. On Friday night, police say they found articles of Trute's clothing around the camp.
