Traverse City Farmers Market Thriving in Winter

Posted: Updated:

If you like shopping Northern Michigan Farmer's Markets, but not outside in the Winter, then you are in luck.

The Village Farmer's Market in the Grand Traverse Commons, is located inside the Mercato Corridor.

It's a quarter-mile-long walkway, featuring dozens of vendors, all with fresh-picked-foods in the middle of Winter!

The variety of the food changes with the Season, and the "community" atmosphere gives customers the opportunity to "get to know" the people, who are growing the food they eat.

Among the vendors was Food Rescue, an organization that fights against hunger and waste, by collecting food before it's thrown out by grocers, restaurants, and farms.
