UPDATE: Mecosta-Osceola ISD Teacher Charged for Having Sex With Student

A Mecosta-Osceola ISD teacher accused of having sex with a student was charged today.

Janet Marie Brown from Evart was charged with 3 counts of 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct with a 16-year-old male student.

Brown was employed as a teacher with the Mecosta-Osceola County Intermediate School District.

She was assigned to the Ashmun School on the Eagle Village Youth Detention Center's Campus, in Hersey, Michigan.

The victim is a student at the Ashmun School.

Brown was located in the Evart area and arrested without incident, last night.
