Woman Arrested in Connection to 2004 Newaygo County Murder

Troopers have arrested a woman in connection to the murder of a 13-year-old girl in Newaygo County.
Amanda Lankey was murdered in 2004, her body was found beaten in the woods just outside of White Cloud.
Right now details are slim, but we can tell you they arrested Candace Baumgarter-Wallis yesterday. She is charged with 2 counts of making false statements during her testimony in the investigation.
Baumgarter-Wallis could face life in prison, if found guilty, the same penalty for the crime being investigated.
Another person is also being charged with perjury, but have not yet been arrested.
Lankey was staying at a friend's house when she left and never came back.
