NEW DETAILS: Deputies in Benzie County Arrest Suspect in Deadly Shooting

Tuesday afternoon: Police say that Stephanie Stanton was killed by her husband.

Deshawn Stanton was arrested last night. Records show he has a history of domestic violence.

Tuesday morning: Deputes have made an arrest in the shooting death of a woman in Benzie County.

The sheriff has confirmed Stephanie Stanton died from a single gunshot wound to the neck. Police found Stanton's body in a house in Homestead Township, where they also found a gun. They say the 28 year old was shot and killed early Sunday morning.

Police say people were in the home when it happened and they were all questioned.

We don't yet know the identity of the suspect.
