9&10 News Helping Hands

9&10 News Helping Hands is an ongoing community service project by 9&10 News. The program creates awareness and demonstrates the importance of community events throughout Northern Michigan.

9&10 News Helping Hands' goal is to increase awareness of different community events in Northern Michigan. It will also generate volunteers and donations for the specific events that 9&10 News Helping Hands will sponsor. 9&10 News Helping Hands will teach people about different community events and non-profit organizations.

9&10 News Helping Hands will be the umbrella heading for all community events. All events that 9&10 News Helping Hands promotes will have a Public Service Announcement (PSA) created to promote the event and include a call to action for participation. Some topics that 9&10 News will focus on are: education, crime prevention, health, children, and environmental issues.

Walk for Warmth

9&10 News Helping Hands and Farm Bureau Insurance, Michigan's Insurance Company, are happy to support the FiveCAP, Mid Michigan Community Action Agency, and Cheboygan County United Way's Walk for Warmth events on February 20th and 27th.

Each year warm-hearted volunteers walk to help their less fortunate neighbors keep warm this winter by raising money to help pay for heating and other household emergencies. You can help spread the warmth by joining in the Walk for Warmth near you:
