Getting around the Grand Traverse area is now a little easier thanks to a new smart phone app.
The Bay Area Transportation Authority just joined an app called “Transit.”
It allows you to see the closest available route based on where you are as long as you’re in the BATA service region.
It also gives up to the minute updates on the buses traveling through the area.
“It gives trip planning, step by step direction it gives timing on how long until the bus arrives to your location and gives you directions and travel time so you know how long it will take to get to your final destination,” Eric Linguar, Communications and Development Director of BATA.
Transit is free to download in the iTunes app store or Google play app store.
