The festival, also a huge success for local businesses who welcomed the crowds with open arms.

"We see lots of shopping bags going by and ice cream and smoothies books in the bags so all of that is tremendous, It’s great for the whole community," Ann said.

After 13 years, the festival has become well known for a number of reasons, but one seems to stand out year in and year out.

"The people in line are so friendly they all say are you in town for the film festival and we find out where we are from. I did a high five with a woman I met in line yesterday and we are buddies just like that," Sandra said.
