Charlevoix Hosts 39th Annual Apple Fest

There’s no better way to dive into fall than with a bite into a local apple and one Northern Michigan city has you covered.

The 39th annual Apple Fest kicked off Friday in Charlevoix.

It features an arts and craft show, farmers market and concerts.

And of course, the juicy fruit itself.

With more than 30 types of apples available, there’s no better way to support local farmers.

“Super exciting to have a community event that really supports agriculture, specifically apples,” says Royal Farms owner, Sara McGuire. “You know Michigan grows a lot of apples, particularly here in northern Michigan, and we grow a lot of apples on our farm so it’s really fun to celebrate and have an opportunity to bring them into town where there are a lot of people.”

Apple fest runs through Sunday.
