TRAVERSE CITY - The Traverse City Pit Spitters tested how well they can live up to their name in a pit spitting competition.
9&10′s sports reporter Danielle King along with bench coach Todd Reid, RHP Anthony Ramirez (California State University Stanislaus), RHP Hayden Jatczak (Saginaw Valley State University), RHP Nate Blain (Madonna University), and RF Evan Orzech (Saint Xavier University) brought out their pit spitting talents just as the National Cherry Festival kicks off.
