FRANKFORT – St. Ignace recorded its second straight shutout with a 27-0 victory over Frankfort on Friday. Following a scoreless opening quarter, the Saints (3-0, 2-0) took a 7-0 lead at half. St. Ignace hosts Gladstone next Friday while Frankfort (2-1, 0-1) welcomes in Oscoda.

MAPLE CITY — Glen Lake picked up a 63-38 win over Frankfort in boys basketball on Friday. The Lakers improve to 11-3 overall and 9-1 in conference play, while the Panthers fall to 6-6 and 5-5 in the Northwest. Glen Lake’s next game will be at Onekama and Frankfort will play at Buckley. The Michigan High School Football Coaches Association announced its 2021 and 2022 Hall of Fame classes, which include Boyne City’s Rick Applin, Frankfort’s Matt Stapleton and Kingsley’s Tim Wooer. BIG RAPIDS – Frankfort girls basketball kept up its solid play with a 45-30 win over St. Joseph Michigan Lutheran in a non-conference contest at Jim Wink Arena in Big Rapids on Saturday.
