BEAL CITY – The Lake City Trojans turned up the heat on defense to earn a 46-23 Highland Conference win over Beal City on Thursday night.
The Trojans led 27-15 at halftime and outscored the Aggies 19-8 in a low-scoring second half.
Lake City (8-1, 3-1 Highland) was led by Mackenzie Bisballe with 17 points and 14 rebounds, while her cousin, Ali Bisballe, chipped in with 14 points.
The Trojans return home to host Roscommon on Wednesday night, while Beal City (6-3, 2-3 Highland) will welcome in Houghton Lake on Wednesday.
