CMU Bowled Over by Falcons, 83-61

MT. PLEASANT - The Central Michigan Chippewas battled the flu all week and it showed in an 83-61 loss to Bowling Green on Tuesday night.

Bowling Green shot nearly 68 percent from the field in the first half en route to a commanding 52-23 halftime lead.

Jesse Zarzuela led the Chippewas with 24 points after missing the previous game with the flu. Bowling Green’s Leon Ayers III also had 24 points and Samari Curtis added 19.

With the loss, Central Michigan falls to 7-13 (2-5 MAC). The Chippewas will host rival Western Michigan on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the ‘Toilet Paper Toss’ game.
