BIG RAPIDS - Ferris State fell to visiting Michigan Tech 1-0 on Friday night.
In game one of the CCHA weekend matchup, the Huskies scored late in the first period. Ferris State goalie Noah Giesbrecht (7-9-0) allowed the single goal and put up 33 saves.
Michigan Tech goalie Blake Pietila (15-7-2) racked in 21 saves in his shut out performance.
The Bulldogs look to split the series on Saturday Jan. 21 with the puck drop at 6:07 p.m.
