TC Central Defeats Toledo St. Francis 4-1 to Win Scott Miller Memorial Championship

TRAVERSE CITY – The Traverse City Central Trojans capped off an impressive three-day stretch with a 4-1 victory over Toledo St. Francis in the Scott Miller Memorial Holiday Invitational Championship on Friday.

The Trojans went 3-0 at the three-day tournament and outscored their opponents by a combined score of 18-2.

In the championship game, the Trojans got out to a fast start thanks to a goal from Owen Dawson in the opening minutes. By the end of the first period, TC Central had put three goals on the board and kept Toledo St. Francis at bay.

The Trojans four goals were scored by Dawson, Tyler Cooper, Drew Zrimec and Graham Peters. Goaltender Brady Faille stopped 26 of 27 shots faced.

With the win, the Trojans improve to 7-3-2. They will play at Cadillac on Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 6 p.m.
