Ferris State Loses Late Lead, Falls in Overtime to Indianapolis

BIG RAPIDS – The Ferris State women’s basketball team came up just short in a 65-62 overtime loss to Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon.

The game was a defensive battle early on as the teams hit the half knotted up at 20-20. Ferris State took control in the third quarter and led by 10 heading into the fourth.

But Indianapolis erased the deficit in the fourth to force overtime.

Mallory McCartney led the Bulldogs with 16 points, but Indianapolis was able to hold standout Ferris forward Chloe Idoni to just 7 points.  The Bulldogs shot just 27.8% from the field for the game.

Three Greyhounds finished in double figures, led by Sadie Hill with 20 and Lauren With chipping in with 18 off the bench.

The Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday night, hosting Lewis (IL) at 5:30.
