Two CMU Football Players Earn MAC Player of the Week Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT – Central Michigan freshman quarterback Bert Emanuel Jr. earned the MAC West Division’s Offensive Player of the Week and senior defensive lineman Thomas Incoom earned the MAC West Division’s Defensive Player of the Week.

The true freshman quarterback put up 293 yards rushing on Wednesday night in a Chippewas win over Buffalo. He set the record for the single-game rushing yards by a Central Michigan quarterback.

Incoom had a career-high 13 tackles and after his performance on Wednesday night he is nationally ranked the third best in sacks.

The Chippewas look to keep the momentum going as they have an exciting home matchup ahead against Western Michigan. Kickoff is slated for Wednesday at 8 p.m.
