Lake Superior State Falls 4-1 to Northern Michigan

SAULT SAINTE MARIE – The Lake Superior State Lakers dropped their CCHA season opener on Friday night, falling to Northern Michigan 4-1.

Vincent de Mey broke a 1-1 tie midway through the second period to provide the game-winner for the Wildcats.

Harrison Roy scored the lone Laker goal on the night.

Northern Michigan outshot Lake Superior State 32-17.

The same two teams will meet again on Saturday evening in Sault Ste. Marie.
