HUDSONVILLE – The Shelby Tigers took Kalamazoo Christian to five sets in the Division 3 State Quarterfinals Tuesday night, but the Comets edged the Tigers 15-8 in the decisive fifth set.
Shelby ends its season with a record of 34-9-2. This was the first trip to the state quarterfinals for the Tigers since 2017.
Kalamazoo Christian will face Calumet in the state semifinals on Friday, Nov. 18 at 2 p.m. in Battle Creek.
