TRAVERSE CITY – The Traverse City West Titans used two goals early in the first half to open up Big North Conference play with a 2-1 win over visiting Petoskey on Thursday night.
Charlie Licht opened up the scoring for the Titans less than five minutes into the game, and Ian Robertson doubled the lead just over five minutes later. West would take the 2-0 lead into the half.
Traverse City West (6-1, 1-0 BNC) will host Holland on Saturday. Petoskey (6-5, 0-1 BNC) hosts Alpena on Tuesday.
