SAULT STE. MARIE – After beating Kingsford 8-6 in a semifinal matchup earlier in the day, the Sault Ste. Marie softball team lost to Escanaba 16-0 in five innings in the district championship game Saturday.
Escanaba beat Cheboygan 13-3 in the other semifinal.
Escanaba advances to face Grant in regionals.
