NEWBERRY – Pickford softball defeated Rudyard 10-7 in the district semifinal and then cruised to a 13-3 victory over Brimley in the Div. 4 championship game to win the program’s first ever district title on Friday night.
After Brimley took down Newberry 15-5, the Bays’ postseason run ended in the district championship against the Panthers.
Pickford advances to the Div. 4 regional semifinal to face Hancock next Saturday, June 11 at 10 a.m.
