Three TC St. Francis Student-Athletes Sign with Colleges for Track and Field

TRAVERSE CITY – Traverse City St. Francis held a signing day last week with three student-athletes signing to compete in track and field in college.

Marian University will have two Gladiators joining their team next year, as Brenden Endres and Thomas Richards will continue being teammates in college.

Both had successful track careers, with Richards winning a state title with his 32,000 meter-relay team last year. Endres will compete in pole vaulting at Marian along with Magdalen Kleinrichert, who is headed to Ave Maria.

“It’s crazy because, you know, I never would have expected to go to the next level and compete. But I really grew these last few years, so I made it possible,” said Endres.

“In eighth grade, I kind of figured out that this is what I wanted to do, so I kind of put that as a priority. Ever since I started looking for a school, basically.” said Richards.

“Over like last season, I finished pole vault and I was improving and I was like, you know, like, I really like this. I’m going to work hard all winter, see what I can get out of it, and hopefully I can pole vault at a college or something or a simple NAIA school,” said Kleinrichert.
