Glen Lake Girls Soccer Blanks Benzie Central by 9, Stays Unbeaten in Northwest Conference

GLEN LAKE – The Glen Lake girls soccer team cruised to a 9-0 shutout win over Benzie Central, extending the Lakers’ perfect record in the Northwest Conference to 7-0 on Wednesday night.

Ruby Hogan led the Lakers with 3 goals, while Jessica Robbins, Gemma Lerchen and Paige Steffke all had 2 goals a piece.

The win also marks a fourth-straight for the Lakers, outscoring their opponents 26-1.

Glen Lake improves its overall record to 9-3. The Lakers will seek their fifth straight win against Charlevoix in a non-conference match on Friday.

Benzie Central falls to 3-9 on the year and 2-5 in conference play. The Huskies will take on the TC Bulldogs on Friday.
