SAULT STE. MARIE — Grand Valley State had no problem in their women’s basketball game against Lake Superior State on Thursday, winning, 78-21, in conference play.
The GVSU Lakers held a 33-1 lead after the first quarter and 48-7 edge at halftime. They improve to 18-1 overall and 11-1 in the GLIAC, while Lake Superior State falls to 2-14 and 1-9 in conference play.
Lake City alum Rylie Bisballe started for Grand Valley and had 10 points in just nine minutes of play. GVSU had 12 players score in the game, while LSSU had just four players score.
Lake Superior State will next play Davenport on Saturday, while Grand Valley will take on Ferris State that day.
