The high school winters sports regular season is coming to a close. Teams across northern Michigan look to end the year on a high note in boys and girls basketball and hockey.

Here is a look at this week’s MISportsNow Top Plays.

Here’s our top five:

5. Luke Hazelton with a flashy spin-move inside for the bucket to give Glen Lake a 16-point lead over McBain in boys hoops.

4. Elk Rapids’ Kendall Standfest throws a long baseball pass ahead to Lauren Bingham for the lay-in, as the Elks take down Harbor Springs to clinch the outright Lake Michigan Conference title.

3. Emma Schierbeek records her 1,000th career point as a McBain Rambler in a girls basketball game against Houghton Lake.

2. Big Rapids goalie Evan Bowen comes up with back-to-back saves to keep the Cardinals up 1-0 against Grandville.

1. McBain NMC’s Blake Dezeeuw lofts an alley-oop up to Trevin Winkle at the buzzer off an inbound in a close win over TC Christian to remain undefeated.
