TRAVERSE CITY — No. 1 McBain NMC and Traverse City Christian battled in a close non-conference game, with the Comets staying undefeated with the 36-31 win Friday night.
The Sabres had a chance to tie the game with a three-pointer late, but couldn’t get it to fall.
NMC improves to 17-0 overall, while T.C. Christian falls to 12-4.
McBain NMC’s next game is at home against Frankfort, and Traverse City Christian will play at Kingsley for its next game. Both games are scheduled for Tuesday.
