Lake Superior State Hires Rambo as Volleyball Coach

SAULT STE. MARIE — Lake Superior State announced the hire of Zac Rambo as its next volleyball coach.

Rambo, who is a Sault Ste. Marie native, will join the Lakers after being the head coach of Pratt Community College volleyball the last three years. He led them to 11 wins in their most recent season, the most since 2018.

“Zachary Rambo distinguished himself throughout the search process for our next head volleyball coach with unmatched vision for our program and a commitment to our university and community,” Lake Superior State athletic director Dr. Dave Diles said in the LSSU press release.

Rambo also spent four seasons as an assistant coach and director of recruiting for the volleyball program at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.
