DETOUR – Cedarville-Detour recorded its first win of the season in boys basketball with a 57-31 victory over Newberry in a Straits Area Conference contest on Tuesday.
The Islanders improve to 1-1 on the year and will face Brimley (2-0) for another league matchup on Thursday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m.
Newberry begins the year 0-1 and will look to bounce back against Straits Area opponent Rudyard (1-0) at home on Thursday at 7 p.m.
