SCOTTVILLE — For the second straight week, Mason County Central has canceled its varsity football game due to COVID-19 concerns. The Spartans were scheduled to play Hart this week.
The Pirates have found a new opponent, as they will host Kent City on Thursday at 7 p.m. Both teams picked up wins in their season openers, with Hart beating Holton, 40-20, and Kent City beating Newaygo, 20-19.
Mason County Central announced earlier this month that due to low numbers in the junior and senior classes.
