Newaygo Tops Tri County to Stay Tied Atop the CSAA

NEWAYGO — Newaygo held a 2-0 lead at halftime to help boost the Lions to a 3-2 victory over Tri County on Wednesday in conference play.

The Viking scored the final two goals of the game, including one with five seconds left to make it close, but the Lions stay undefeated in CSAA play and in the overall season. They also have two ties.

Newaygo and Big Rapids are the final two teams in the CSAA without a loss this conference season, and the two will meet on Friday at 5 p.m. at Big Rapids.
