GLADWIN – The Gladwin football program enters the 2020 season looking to get back to the postseason for the first time since 2014.
The Flying G’s enter their second year under coach Marc Jarstfer after going 1-8 a season ago.
Gladwin saw some improvement offensively last fall, with the team posting its highest scoring output since 2015.
“It’s been good,” Jarstfer said. “Still had the first year to build relationships with kids and get to know them. And we still got to have a little bit of fun strength and conditioning outside, socially distanced, but it’s been good.”
The Flying G’s are optimistic that they can put a winning campaign together in 2020.
“We should have a winning record this year,” Gladwin sophomore Logan Kokotovich said. “We have more of a younger group, might be a little tough out the start, but it should be a good season.”
Gladwin opens its season on the road at Chippewa Hill on Thursday, Aug. 27. It marks the first meeting between the two schools.
